Christmas in Motion 2009

“Christmas in Motion” was launched in December 2009 at the Festival Drayton Centre in Shropshire and was produced in association with Market Drayton Amateur Dramatic and Operatic Society.

The spectacular festive show was based “loosely” on the poem ‘Twas The Night Before Christmas and featuring classic British number 1 hits throughout the ages.

A colourful and unique alternative to traditional pantomimes, the show is a combination of professional, semi-professional and amateur talent, and offers first class entertainment the whole family can enjoy.

“Christmas in Motion” brings the professional technology of “Musicals in Motion” together with professional production, direction, choreography and performance to Amateur Dramatic organisations giving them the chance to work in a professional capacity and indeed, perform in a professional show.

Using the huge 24sqm rear projection screen, actors perform in front of stunning backdrops and sets transporting the audience into festive scenes and the heart of Christmas.

To make full use of the professional production crew, the cast – both amateur and professional were filmed in many different roles giving them the unique chance to work in a film studio and giving the audience the unique Singing Tooth style of live and virtual interacting seamlessly with one another.

The three day Christmas tour in 2009 was a complete sell out with demands for the show to return in 2010. Preparations are already on the way for Christmas in Motion 2010

Due to its incredible debut success, “Christmas in Motion” has attracted attention from many neighbouring Amateur Dramatic organisations wanting to be involved in their own Christmas in Motion.

The “Christmas in Motion” 2010 tour is looking to be an incredibly exciting venture for professionals and amateurs alike.
